Innovative Programs

A wide variety of programming is offered to our residents on a daily basis. Innovative programs are designed to promote choice, preserve dignity, and celebrate individuality. In addition to a full calendar of group activities, our staff provide spontaneous activities, day and night, to meet in-the-moment needs for social engagement, self-expression and mindful connections.

  • Music and MemoryTM
Personalized musical playlists through digital technology provide musical favorites that tap deep memories allowing individuals to feel like themselves again, converse, socialize and stay present.
  • Opening Minds through Art
An innovative program that builds bridges across age and cognitive barriers through the use of art with the support of students and volunteers.
  • Memory Lane TVTM
An interactive and multi-media collection for individuals with memory loss, including relaxation, stress reduction and perceptual sensations.
  • TimeSlips
Through simple prompts, images and questions, this program opens storytelling to everyone by replacing the pressure to remember with the freedom to imagine.
  • Portland Wheelers
An adaptive biking program that allows people with disabilities to get out into nature and connect with the larger community.
  • Sensory Gardens
A wonderful way to explore the senses and experience nature.

We are grateful for the generous support from Legacy Heritage Fund that has enabled us to provide intergenerational programming for our senior residents

I haven’t had this much fun in ages.

It reminds me that color is emotion and I’ve got plenty!
