Dementia Support Group at The Cedars ~ January 2026

These gatherings are designed to offer education, encouragement, and connection in a supportive and understanding environment. Whether you are personally affected by dementia or supporting a loved one, you are not alone—and this group is here for you.

For January’s topic, we will be discussing “Understanding the Stages and Types of Dementia.” During this session, we’ll explore how dementia can progress over time and introduce some of the commonly used scales that help professionals understand and describe these stages. We’ll also look at several of the more common forms of dementia and discuss how symptoms may present differently from person to person.

Our goal is to help participants gain clarity, build confidence, and better understand what to expect, while also creating space for shared experiences and thoughtful conversation. We hope you’ll join us for this informative and compassionate discussion as we continue learning and supporting one another together.

Our monthly Dementia Support Group takes place on the second Tuesday of each month at The Atrium at The Cedars and is facilitated by Susan Raychard MOTR/L, CDP.
