SUMMARY:Dementia Support Group
DESCRIPTION:The Cedars is pleased to offer a new monthly dementia support group for individuals with a loved one who is living with dementia. Susan Raychard OTR/L\, will be facilitating the group and has previously managed Mindful Connections\, our dementia outpatient program. She currently has her own company\, providing specialized in home OT services.  \nThe next session will be September 12\, from 6PM-7:30PM and will be held at The Atrium in the meeting rooms. The topic of discussion will be education related to dementia and the brain. Each session will last approximately 1.5 hours and 45 minutes of the session would be on subject matter to educate and open up participant dialogue. \n\nPlease RSVP to Susan sraychard@thecedarsportland.org or 207- 298-0071

DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n\n  \n  \nJoin us for some wicked good music! \nThe Maine Squeeze is an eclectic group bonded by their enthusiasm and love of the accordion. They’ve been squeezing together since 1996 throughout the state at fairs\, festivals\, concerts\, private and community events. Their music is drawn from around the world as well as original tunes\, which showcase the versatility of the accordion from high energy\, foot tapping tunes to mesmerizing numbers that emphasize the drama and beauty of the instrument. Members bring high spirits and multiple talents that blend together in a performance that affirms the resurgence of the accordion as an instrument of many genres.
