DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Cedars is pleased to welcome back Portland Conservatory of Music with musicians Sylvia Schwartz(violin) & Timothy Burris (Lute/Theorbo) for an evening concert at The Atrium. \n\nDeeply inspired by the relationship between music\, movement\, and dance\, violinist and teacher Sylvia Schwartz is a passionate chamber musician in both modern and historical performance practices. The power of music to heal and to bring us together drives Sylvia to teach through the Suzuki method and to perform wherever she can\, from Shostakovich Hall in St. Petersburg\, Russia—and many places in between. \n\n\n\nTimothy Burris has performed throughout Europe and the US\, both as a soloist and an accompanist. He has appeared in concert with such esteemed artists as the mezzo Jennifer Lane and the keyboardist Robert Hill\, as well as under the baton of Peter Schreier and René Clemencic\, among others.
