DESCRIPTION:The Cedars is honored to\, once again sponsor the Free Senior Film at the Maine Jewish Film Festival. This year’s film is titled\, Golda’s Balcony: the Film and features acclaimed actress Tovah Feldshuh who recreates 100 years of Jewish history playing 45 different characters\, including David Ben-Gurion\, Moshe Dayan\, Holocaust survivors\, Israeli soldiers and\, of course\, Golda Meir herself. WINNER of 21 “Audience Favorite Awards” at all 21 of its competitive Festivals to date\, including the Jewish Film Festivals of Boston\, L.A.\, Philadelphia\, Tel Aviv\, Pittsburgh\, Dallas\, Hong Kong and others. Dessert reception to follow.

Story as Medicine is a course that introduces students to the art of Narrative Medicine and provides opportunities to practice telling and listening to stories through partnering with residents of The Cedars. Both students and residents have been working on stories about health\, healing\, and life. At the culmination\, students and residents share their stories.
