CNA classes

Classes for Certified Nursing Assistants

“My fellow workers really care about our residents – it’s a great place to work!”
      – CRMA/CNA

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide the routine treatment and care of sick, disabled and terminally ill patients. Under the supervision of Registered Nurses, CNAs monitor and measure vital signs, give bed baths and back rubs, make up hospital beds and transport patients between meals, activities and appointments.

CNAs at The Cedars work in our rehabilitation center and our skilled nursing care center for seniors. Our CNAs encourage healing, ease discomfort, offer kindness and warmth and truly touch the lives of seniors during a painful and vulnerable time.

If you start your medical career as a CNA at The Cedars, you will learn critical skills and receive mentorship and support. You will be part of a dedicated, vibrant community caring for Maine’s seniors. And you will go home after each shift knowing your skills and compassion made all the difference.
