A Message from the Campaign Co-Chairs

It is clear that The Cedars requires community financial assistance to build a firm foundation for the future. First, we need an equity contribution to ensure the best possible financing of construction of The Osher Inn. Second, we need an endowment, to provide financial assistance for assisted living residents who can no longer afford the care they need. And finally, we need funding for expanding and renovating The Sam L. Cohen Rehabilitation Center.

The Cedars requires a minimum of $4.5 million to meet the needs of Maine’s seniors now, and in the future. During the early stages of this effort, we have been inspired and encouraged by the generosity of Dr. Alvin A. Hoffman, the Sam L. Cohen Foundation, and now The Bernard Osher Jewish Philanthropies Foundation.

We are pleased to announce that the Completing the Circle Campaign has raised $3.7 million towards our goal.
